In the twentieth century the railway marked the division between the ‘rich’ center of town and the ‘working class’ north. But in the recent years the Belcrum district turned into a hotspot. For his mural in Breda Ben Eine (UK) got inspiration from the old and vanished industry at the site. The city is known as ‘City of Imagineers’ a home for many educational, cultural and commercial institutions in the creative industry.\n \nBen Eine claims there is a clear distinction between graffiti and street art. To his opinion graffiti makes the streets ugly ,while street art beautifies it. He knows from experience as he had been tagging trains and walls since the age of 14. He was always interested in letters and how they could change shape when combined into words, so this is the direction he took.","nl":"Vanaf 1855 tot aan de late jaren ’90 stonden vlakbij de spooronderdoorgang veel roemruchte fabrieken, zoals Kwatta, MOMO, Centrale Suiker Maatschappij, Etna, Electron, Backer & Rueb en Hollandse Kunstzijde Industrie. When Maria was asked about her motives she answered: “In nature, I am male. But in appearance I am a female.” Her answer goes beyond just dressing like the other gender. If Maria had lived today, she would have probably considered herself transgender.\n\nMaria was bannend from Brabant. Years later, she returned to Breda unnoticed and in distress and eventually died at the age of 62 in her home.","nl":"In het teken van De Maand van de Geschiedenis (oktober) maakten het Spaanse kunstenaars-duo Twee Muizen deze schildering. Jaren later keerde Maria onopgemerkt terug naar Breda en stierf uiteindelijk in armoede op 62 jarige leeftijd in haar woning."},"material":{"en":"Latex on shutters","nl":"Latex op rolluik"},"category":{"id":1,"en":"Blind Wall","nl":"Blind Wall"},"images":[{"url":"static/96_1.jpg","file":"static/96_1.jpg","type":"frontpage"},{"url":"static/96_2.jpg","file":"static/96_2.jpg","type":"wall"},{"url":"static/96_3.jpg","file":"static/96_3.jpg","type":"wall"}]},{"id":97,"published":1,"date":1587668241,"dateModified":1587668241,"authorID":97,"latitude":51.588988,"longitude":4.775912,"address":"Grote Markt","numberOnMap":97,"videoUrl":null,"year":2019,"photographer":"Edwin Wiekens","videoAuthor":null,"author":"Zenk One","rating":null,"title":{"en":"Zenk One","nl":"Zenk One"},"url":{"en":"","nl":""},"description":{"en":"For the next 5 years, a big white fence will ‘adorn’ the Grote Markt (great square), due to the restoration of the Grote Kerk (church).
